Role:
Do you want to really dive into the container world after starting your career? This position as Junior OpenShift Platform Engineer is exactly where that begins. Around an OpenShift platform, you will learn how stable infrastructure, automation, and modern software development interact. An experienced team will support you and give you room for your own ideas. Your technical responsibility grows with every project.
Responsibilities:
You keep the OpenShift platform and central DevOps components running together with the team and further develop them.
Additionally, you contribute to build, test, and release processes, which you continuously improve.
You assist developers in containerising, deploying, and operating their applications.
You automate recurring processes and deployments step by step.
Furthermore, you participate in monitoring and logging and keep documentation and best practices up to date.
You also investigate incidents and find viable solutions in collaboration with development, architecture, and IT security.
Qualifications:
You have some practical experience in DevOps, cloud, system, or software engineering.
You have already worked with containers, such as Kubernetes, Docker, or similar platforms.
You understand the basic concepts of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) and know how build, test, and release interact.
Furthermore, you use Git daily and want to develop towards GitOps. Initial contact with TeamCity, ArgoCD, Tekton, or similar tools is welcome.
You also have basic knowledge in monitoring and logging, for example with Sentry or ELK.
Additionally, you learn quickly, approach tasks in an organised manner, and enjoy sharing your curiosity for security and platform technologies within the team.
