The charming, stylish Boutique Hotel "Märthof" at the Market Square with 68 unique rooms was opened in July 2021, in the best location in the heart of Basel’s historic old town overlooking the Market Square. The lively "Brasserie Bohemia" with boulevard café directly on the Market Square, first-class event facilities for up to 40 people, and a panoramic roof terrace for our hotel guests demonstrate the diversity of the house, entirely in line with our motto "Savoir vivre in the heart of Basel".

Bartender - Boutique Hotel Märthof
Responsibilities
- Preparation of cocktails, spirits, and classic bar drinks
- Warm, professional care of our bar guests as well as recommendations on the drink selection
- Active and attentive sales to guests
- Handling complaints in consultation with the department manager
- Preparation of the mise en place
- Training of new employees at the bar
- Supporting the service team in the restaurant area as needed
- Compliance with service standards and hygiene guidelines
Requirements
- Successfully completed training in the hotel industry, further training as a barista desirable
- Initial experience in a similar position, ideally at a hotel bar
- Motivated, communicative, and cheerful personality with language skills: fluent German and English, good French knowledge. Any additional language is an advantage
- Interest in current bar trends, creativity, enthusiasm for cocktails and drinks
- Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, and evenings
- Commitment, friendly demeanour, and high service orientation
- Willingness to work, flexibility, and organised working style
