The Human Resources Department has the primary mission of ensuring the development of the institution's human capital in view of organisational evolution. The Training and Development Centre of the Geneva University Hospitals is looking for a training officer to join the continuing education team. Aligned with the human resources department's strategy, this sector supports the heads of professional sectors and departments in their continuing education activities and contributes to the development of the training offer to meet the needs of the institution and the various professional sectors.

As part of your role, you are responsible for analysing training needs and requests from clients at various levels of the institution, advising them and supporting them in implementing appropriate training actions.

Your professional experience in adult education and your knowledge of its concepts enable you to position yourself as a key and influential player with your various interlocutors (managers, human resources managers…). You are an agent of change and innovation. You are proactive and use your ability to understand the demands of professions to meet the institution's training needs. You are a driver of the transition of continuing education systems into the era of hybrid learning, within a collective intelligence approach.

You will also be responsible for professional monitoring, in partnership with professional departments and other HR services, to anticipate the skills evolution of tomorrow and ensure that the training implemented meets these new needs.

Within the ongoing organisational transformation of the Training and Development Centre, you do not hesitate to make improvement proposals. In regular contact with the various members of the teaching team and your administrative colleagues, you promote collaborative work and team spirit, enthusiasm and an innovation dynamic. You commit alongside them to support the transformation of the Training and Development Centre, particularly the continuing education sector.

You master the concepts, methods and reference educational tools. Holding a university Master’s degree ideally in adult education, complemented by a postgraduate certificate such as a CAS in adult education, change management, HR, skills development or coaching, you have at least 5 years’ professional experience in a similar position. Experience in the health and/or social sector would be an asset to facilitate your success in this role serving HUG and partner institutions.

Experience in a similar role and/or as a training consultant and/or coach as well as in change management are also important assets.

You have a methodical and structured approach to project management, enabling you to coordinate, prioritise activities, manage internal and/or external resources, while addressing budgetary aspects. This management is carried out with a continuous improvement mindset, serving the needs and strategic challenges of your clients and partners.

This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills to successfully conduct various negotiations and identify stakeholders’ expectations. Thanks to your client orientation, analytical and synthesis skills, you are able to provide the advice expected by the different stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, team spirit, great rigour and availability are required.
