Senior IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you actively shape the IT landscape of a Swiss private bank and ensure secure, stable, and efficient operations. You continuously operate and develop infrastructure, workplace, security, and application solutions, working closely with the specialist departments. You apply modern Microsoft, cloud, and security technologies precisely where they create real added value, while staying close to operational activities by supporting employees with technical issues and developing sustainable solutions. Furthermore, you coordinate external IT partners, manage their services, and ensure that technical requirements are implemented efficiently and with high quality. Thanks to a high degree of personal responsibility, you see directly the impact your work has on business operations.
Responsibilities:
You continuously operate, monitor, and optimise infrastructure, workplace, security, and application solutions
You analyse existing IT solutions and develop sustainable optimisations
You support employees from 1st to 3rd level support and resolve technical faults
You further develop IT and business processes and identify automation and digitalisation potentials
You plan and implement IT projects together with specialist departments and external partners
Additionally, you evaluate new technologies and help shape the standardisation of the IT landscape
Qualifications:
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field of study
You bring at least 5 years of experience in operating and further developing IT landscapes, ideally in a regulated environment
You have solid knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID as well as hybrid cloud, network, virtualisation, backup, and security technologies
You have designed and implemented infrastructure, automation, and digitalisation projects
You are interested in automation and the practical use of AI; experience with reporting or BI solutions is a plus
You work independently and in a structured manner, communicate strongly, and have very good German and English skills
