Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader as Overall Project Manager: Transport Infrastructure to lead demanding large-scale projects in the Swiss infrastructure environment. You will take overall responsibility for complex rail, tunnel and transport infrastructure projects from planning to realisation and lead interdisciplinary project teams as well as engineering consortia. You will be responsible for costs, schedules, quality, risks and sustainability goals and coordinate collaboration with public clients, authorities and other project partners. Additionally, you will contribute your market and project experience in client management, acquisition and bid preparation and further develop existing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the planning and execution of demanding transport and infrastructure projects
Management of complex rail, tunnel and civil engineering projects from planning to realisation
Leadership and control of interdisciplinary project teams and engineering consortia
Responsibility for cost, schedule, quality and risk management at the overall project level
Management of projects through the relevant SIA phases as well as coordination of phase completions and decision-making processes
Coordination of interfaces between civil engineering, railway technology, tunnel construction and other specialist disciplines
Support of approval, authorisation and public procurement procedures
Management of planning offices, specialists and external project partners
Ensuring sustainable and economical project development considering life cycle, resources and construction processes
Application and further development of BIM methods and digital project coordination in infrastructure construction
Support and advice for public and private clients, offices and authorities
Participation in acquisition, bids and competitive procedures as well as building and maintaining strategic client relationships
Qualifications:
University degree as Civil Engineer FH/ETH or comparable technical qualification
Several years of experience in planning Swiss infrastructure projects as well as proven experience in overall project management
Experience with demanding large-scale projects in rail, tunnel or transport infrastructure construction
Sound knowledge in project control, cost, schedule, quality and risk management
Experience with public clients, approval procedures and Swiss procurement processes
Knowledge of BIM and digital project execution in infrastructure construction is an advantage
Very good German skills and good English skills are an advantage
