GIS Specialist (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF80,000 - 85,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for GIS documentation and updating of utility data in the energy and supply sector. You will record pipeline information and structures in the field, update them in the Geographic Information System (GIS), and create technical plans and documentation using AutoCAD. As a specialist for GEONIS and Web-GIS, you will also support project planning as well as reliable and structured data management. The position combines geoinformatics, technical drawing, and utility documentation in the areas of energy and supply infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Recording, capturing, and updating utilities, facilities, and structures in the geographic information system
Management and quality assurance of GIS and geodata for technical supply infrastructure
Creation and updating of utility, overview, and detailed plans with AutoCAD
Support and professional use of GEONIS as well as the deployed Web-GIS solution
Conducting field surveys and transferring the collected information into the digital network documentation
Checking and validating pipeline, object, and factual data as well as cleaning up existing data sets
Supporting departments in project planning, data provision, and technical evaluations
Recording and processing of building applications as well as providing relevant utility information
Preparation of technical reports, plan excerpts, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Support in the further development of GIS processes, data structures, and digital workflows
Collaboration with project managers, network specialists, planning offices, and executing companies on infrastructure projects
Qualifications:
Completed vocational training EFZ as a geomatician, draughtsman specialising in civil engineering, electrical planner, or comparable technical training
Several years of professional experience in GIS, utility documentation, surveying, or technical planning
Good user knowledge of GIS systems, ideally GEONIS and Web-GIS
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and in creating technical plan documents
Experience in capturing, updating, and quality assurance of geodata and utility information
Knowledge in the field of energy, water, or municipal supply networks is an advantage
Good German language skills, spoken and written
