Lead Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you will take on the technical support and further development of a modern group-wide IT infrastructure. You ensure stable and secure operation of on-premises systems, networks, and cloud services. You analyse and resolve complex technical challenges sustainably. You actively participate in IT projects and contribute your expertise in the introduction of new technologies. With your know-how, you develop existing processes further and ensure an efficient IT landscape.
Responsibilities:
You take over the operation, maintenance, and further development of the group-wide IT infrastructure with a focus on servers, clients, network, peripherals, and Azure cloud services.
You analyse complex faults and error patterns, assume technical responsibility, and ensure sustainable problem resolution.
You ensure high system availability, performance, and IT security, including occasional on-call duty.
You identify weaknesses, implement preventive measures, and support the automation and standardisation of operational processes.
You participate in IT projects, lead sub-projects, evaluate new technologies, and maintain technical system documentation.
Qualifications:
You have completed training in IT EFZ, HF, FH or a comparable qualification.
You bring several years of experience in building and operating IT infrastructures as well as supporting complex system environments.
You possess solid knowledge in the Microsoft environment with Windows Server, Windows clients, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune.
You have experience with virtualisation (e.g. VMware) and ideally knowledge in Linux (e.g. Debian) as well as modern network technologies such as firewall, SD-WAN, switching, and WLAN.
You hold a category B driving licence and have good knowledge of German and English.
