• Do you hold a Federal VET Diploma as a specialist in catering?
• Do you have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position?

Your main activities:

As head waiter/waitress, you manage and organise the activities of a section according to the maître d’hôtel’s instructions, coordinating the work of the commis waiters/waitresses and trainees.

Service

• Welcome and attend to customers from their arrival until their departure
• Organise the work of the commis waiters and beneficiaries in your section
• Manage and coordinate the service in your section to ensure quality
• Constantly ensure customer satisfaction
• Handle payments and closing procedures
• Manage tidying of the dining room and preparation for the next service
• Check received goods

Team supervision & Training

• Supervise and coordinate team activities by organising, distributing and monitoring work.
• Develop the professional and personal skills of beneficiaries and support their (re)integration into the labour market.

Collaboration framework

We are looking for someone wishing to engage in a regular and long-term collaboration with our establishment, under an on-call contract.

You will mainly provide support to the team during absences, holidays or occasional service needs. This is therefore not a position with fixed hours or guaranteed hours.

We are thus seeking a person with good availability and flexibility, especially for replacements that may sometimes be arranged at short notice. To facilitate these interventions, we prefer someone living near Épalinges or able to easily reach the Hôtel-restaurant de l’Union.
