As a Project Manager for District Heating Networks, you take on the holistic management of demanding energy infrastructure projects from planning through tendering to successful realisation. You coordinate complex construction projects in utility line construction, lead internal and external project partners, and ensure that cost, schedule, and quality targets are met. With your technical understanding and leadership skills, you develop sustainable solutions for future-oriented energy networks and heating systems.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the planning, management, and implementation of district heating network projects within complex energy networks
Management of network projects across all project phases – from tendering and awarding to construction execution and project acceptance
Leadership and coordination of large infrastructure projects with high technical and financial significance
Ensuring targeted project execution regarding costs, schedules, quality, and risks
Management of tenders, awards, and contract processes in the field of utility line construction and energy infrastructure
Coordination of different interests of authorities, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
Technical leadership of project teams and active enforcement of common project goals
Early identification, assessment, and management of project opportunities and risks
Collaboration with internal departments such as programme management, energy centre, sales, and communications
Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with external partners and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Completed technical education as an engineer, HF technician, or comparable qualification
Proven experience in project management of network projects, ideally in district heating or energy supply
Sound knowledge in planning and implementing complex infrastructure and construction projects
Experience in project management, contract management, and construction process control
Strong business acumen and confident handling of cost and budget matters
Experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams and coordinating various specialist areas
Negotiation skills and convincing communication with authorities, customers, suppliers, and partners
Ability to reconcile different interests and develop sustainable solutions
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with high personal responsibility
High sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for demanding energy projects
Fluent German language skills
