As a Network Engineer (Junior), you will join a versatile ICT operation and get to know a nationwide network infrastructure in Switzerland from the ground up. Experienced colleagues will accompany you and share their knowledge. The focus is on switching, routing and WLAN, complemented by insights into server and private cloud environments. Step by step, you will take on more responsibility and develop professionally.
Responsibilities:
You operate, monitor and maintain the network infrastructure in day-to-day business.
You configure and administer switches, WLAN components and other network devices.
You analyse and systematically resolve disruptions in the network and infrastructure environment.
In addition, you participate in changes, maintenance windows and rollouts.
You install and replace network components at various company locations.
You also maintain and further develop the network documentation.
Qualifications:
You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally in platform development or system technology, or have a comparable qualification.
You bring initial practical experience in networking, for example from training, internship or a first job.
Solid fundamentals in TCP/IP and VLAN as well as an interest in server and private cloud infrastructures characterise you.
You work independently, reliably and solution-oriented and tackle technical faults with enthusiasm.
Additionally, you are motivated to deepen your knowledge in network engineering and build expertise in system engineering.
You are also willing to undertake occasional assignments at other company locations and hold a category B driving licence.
