Our Rocken client is an internationally renowned architectural firm headquartered in Austria. Baumschlager Eberle works internationally on projects of various scales, from residential and commercial buildings to cultural and educational institutions. The architects place great emphasis on integrating local culture and considering ecological aspects in their designs.

Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced project architect specialising in design for demanding architectural and building projects in the Zurich region. You will develop projects from the concept and design phase through to project planning and detailed design, combining a high design standard with sound constructive understanding. A key focus is on 3D planning with ArchiCAD, the development of sustainable building concepts, and the coordination of architectural and technical requirements. The position is aimed at architects who wish to independently handle demanding design tasks and develop them to construction-ready planning.

Responsibilities:

• Development of sophisticated architectural designs and building concepts for various building projects

• Independent handling of projects in the concept, design and project planning phases

• Further development of designs considering urban planning, usage, construction, sustainability and cost-effectiveness

• Creation and processing of 3D building models with ArchiCAD and derivation of relevant planning documents

• Development of floor plans, façade, material and spatial concepts

• Preparation of feasibility studies, variant studies and project presentations

• Translation of architectural concepts into technically and legally feasible planning

• Coordination and integration of requirements from structural engineering, building services and other specialist planning disciplines

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, building regulations and project-specific framework conditions

• Preparation of high-quality planning, presentation and decision-making documents for internal and external project meetings

• Participation in competitions and study assignments as well as further development of competition entries

• Support of projects at the interface between design, project planning and execution planning

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree from ETH, FH or TU or equivalent university qualification

• Several years of professional experience as an architect or project architect specialising in design and project planning

• Sound knowledge in architectural design, construction and project development

• Very good user skills in ArchiCAD 3D

• Experience with competitions, studies and demanding building projects is an advantage

• Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss planning fundamentals

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
