Dipl. Social Worker FH/BSc

The network with five locations ensures high-quality patient care, from local basic care to highly specialised medicine and rehabilitation. For our Aarberg location, we are looking for a committed social worker. As part of the interprofessional treatment team, you advise patients and relatives on questions regarding hospital discharge, social insurance claims, and the social consequences of health limitations. You also provide support with financial issues, identify material resources, and refer to specialised agencies if necessary.

What to expect

• Advice and support for patients and relatives during the hospital stay as well as planning and coordination of discharge and aftercare solutions
• Clarification of social insurance claims (e.g. accident insurance, disability insurance, supplementary benefits)
• Collaboration and case-related coordination with external authorities, other health institutions, and specialised counselling centres
• Interprofessional cooperation with treatment teams as well as advising clinics on social work issues
• Main workplace Aarberg with regular assignments in the university setting at Inselspital

Your profile

• Completed studies in Social Work (BSc/FH)
• Professional experience, ideally in healthcare, social welfare, or adult protection
• Knowledge of the Swiss social insurance system
• Ability to maintain an overview in the dynamic hospital environment
• Very good German skills and ideally good French skills (additional language skills desired)
• Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary treatment team
