Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a committed professional as an ETH / FH architect for an architectural firm focusing on demanding new build projects, existing building development and sustainable architecture. You will accompany diverse construction projects from the initial project idea through design, project and execution planning to realisation and commissioning. The focus is on developing design and constructive solutions, digital architectural planning with Vectorworks, as well as coordinating clients, authorities and specialist planners. The position offers the opportunity to gradually take on project management responsibility and to develop professionally towards independent project leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in architectural projects across all relevant SIA phases from project development and design planning to realisation and commissioning

• Development and further processing of architectural designs considering design, functional, economic and sustainability-related requirements

• Creation of project, building permit and execution plans with Vectorworks as well as elaboration of technical and constructive details

• Development of practical construction and materialisation concepts for new builds, conversions and projects involving existing buildings

• Coordination of collaboration with clients, authorities, users and specialist planners as well as alignment of project-specific requirements

• Processing of building permit applications and approval procedures including preparation of required plan documents and technical evidence in cooperation with specialists

• Participation in execution and detail planning focusing on constructive quality, technical feasibility and economic solutions

• Creation of presentations, visualisations and project documentation with Adobe Creative Cloud and digital architectural tools

• Support of project management in scheduling, coordination of planning services, quality assurance and project organisation

• Accompaniment of construction implementation including coordination with site management and contractors as well as clarification of planning and constructive issues

• Integration of sustainable construction methods and materials considering energy efficiency, resource conservation and long-term building use

• Gradual assumption of independent project responsibility including coordination of smaller project areas and direct communication with clients

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or equivalent recognised higher education in architecture

• At least two years of professional experience in architectural planning, ideally in Swiss architectural practice

• Confident handling of Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Cloud for architectural planning, plan processing and project presentations

• Knowledge of ArchiCAD is an advantage as well as experience with digital planning and coordination processes

• Initial experience in execution and detail planning as well as sound understanding of building construction, materialisation and technical implementation

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA phases and building regulations as well as interest in further development towards project management

• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
