Volunteer Neuchâtel (hereinafter vn) is the cantonal umbrella association bringing together associations, foundations and other non-profit organisations that use volunteering in the canton of Neuchâtel. As such, vn is mandated by the State to provide information, advice and guidance services, to facilitate links between the population of Neuchâtel, associations, public authorities, professionals and companies in order to promote and enhance volunteering. Thus, vn is the privileged interlocutor of associative and volunteer actors as well as public authorities in the canton of Neuchâtel in matters of volunteering.

Your mission
Placed directly under the authority of the Committee, you coordinate vn's activities and contribute to its strategic development. You ensure the achievement of the objectives defined by the governing bodies as well as the implementation of the mandates entrusted by the public authorities.
As the privileged interlocutor of the team, the Office, the Committee, the members of the association, and institutional partners, you hold a central role in the management of the organisation and actively contribute to the preparation of decisions and ensure their implementation.
Within the framework of the orientations defined by the Committee, you assume the following responsibilities in particular:
Operational management and organisational development You ensure the management of vn's activities, coordinate the implementation of its services and projects, and ensure the achievement of set objectives. You contribute to evolving the organisation, its processes and modes of operation to meet the challenges and needs of the association. Management and human resources You supervise the team, coordinate its activities and foster a motivating and clearly collaborative working environment. You support skills development and organisational changes and lead HR processes, notably in recruitment, evaluation and personnel management. Financial, administrative and quality management You guarantee rigorous management of the association's resources, prepare the budget, monitor it and establish the annual accounts. You ensure compliance with the mandates entrusted to vn, administrative requirements and applicable legal, regulatory and statutory provisions, as well as the quality of the services delivered. Governance and decision support You prepare the meetings of the Office and Committee with the Presidency, provide the necessary information and analyses for decision-making, and ensure follow-up and implementation of decisions taken. You promote a clear and constructive link between governance bodies and the operational functioning of the association. Development of services, partnerships and representation You organise and ensure the smooth running of training provided by vn. You represent vn and develop trusting relationships with cantonal and municipal authorities, members, institutional partners and associations. You identify developments and opportunities related to volunteering and propose necessary adaptations for the development of vn's services.
Your profile You hold a tertiary-level qualification (University of Applied Sciences, university or equivalent) in a field relevant to the role. Additional training in human resources, management or adult education is an asset. You have proven experience in human resources management, including leading a team, recruitment, support and skills development. You know how to foster commitment by encouraging collective intelligence. You master administrative and financial management, including budget preparation and monitoring and account follow-up. You demonstrate rigour in resource management and compliance with requirements related to mandates and public funding. You understand the specific challenges of associative, parapublic and institutional environments in Neuchâtel. Comfortable in a representative role, you know how to collaborate with governance bodies, authorities and partners with varied interests. You combine oral and written communication skills with interpersonal ease. You also have excellent analytical and organisational abilities. Your professional attitude is characterised by listening, autonomy and a sense of cooperation.
