Founded in Lausanne in 1843, the Asile des aveugles Foundation includes the Jules-Gonin Ophthalmic Hospital, a university ophthalmology service, a research centre, the Educational Centre for Visually Impaired Pupils (CPHV), social services, rehabilitation and low vision, and the Clair-Soleil medico-social establishment.

More than 600 employees mobilise every day in the service of visual health to offer diagnostic, treatment and support services to people with visual impairments.

To complete our team, we are looking for a

Billing Assistant

Your mission

• Process outpatient billing procedures (service entry, pre-billing checks)
• Analyse and monitor activity in collaboration with various stakeholders (doctors, medical-technical and administrative staff)
• Develop and update best practice documentation as well as internal procedures
• Handle paediatric oncology cases (foreign patients)
• Follow up on medical information requests
• Manage and process the return of XML and paper invoices (cancellation, modification, justification)
• Respond to internal and external enquiries related to outpatient billing
• Contribute to improving process efficiency and digitalising activities
• Extract, format and analyse billing data (Excel, Opale)

Your assets

· Holder of a commercial CFC, or equivalent training

· At least 3 years of confirmed professional experience in billing or pricing of health services, ideally in a hospital, clinic, or health insurance (service provision)

· Computer literacy and very good command of Excel, knowledge of OPALE is an asset

· Good knowledge of outpatient billing in Switzerland, LAMal, Tardoc and outpatient flat rates

· Ability to analyse and interpret medical services and their billing rules

· Experience in billing, service control, medical pricing or invoice processing is an asset

· Excellent writing skills

· English level A2

· Autonomous, organised, rigorous and comfortable managing priorities and deadlines

· Flexible, with good interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit

· Analytical mindset and solution-oriented

· Motivated by achieving objectives within a specialised billing and pricing team
