Application & Integration Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Do you want to connect different IT systems and ensure that business-critical data is transmitted securely and reliably between applications? In this role, you develop technical integration solutions, implement customer-specific requirements, and optimise existing system connections. You work at the interface between infrastructure, applications and secure data communication and take responsibility for the technical quality of your solutions.
Responsibilities:
Setup and adjustment of specialised software solutions for data transfer, electronic data interchange and email protection.
Connecting different IT systems, applications and communication interfaces within existing customer infrastructures.
Performing technical installations, release changes, migrations and system expansions including functional tests and quality controls.
Investigating technical errors using log files, network protocols and communication processes and sustainably resolving integration issues.
Supporting customers with technical implementations, developing suitable integration concepts and maintaining clear operational and system documentation.
Qualifications:
Completed training in computer science or a comparable technical qualification with a strong interest in interfaces and system architectures.
Basic to good knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, networks, virtualisation and server infrastructures.
Understanding of secure data transmission with SFTP, FTPS, SSH, HTTPS and TLS/SSL as well as management of digital certificates.
Knowledge of REST interfaces, web services, XML, JSON, CSV or scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash; experience with EDI is an advantage.
Analytical thinking, independent and careful working style, strong customer orientation as well as enjoyment of technical exchange and continuous learning.
