Structural Engineer for Structural Design (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF110,000 - 115,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced structural engineer for structural design to work on demanding building projects in the Zurich region. Depending on experience, you will take on the role of project manager or junior project manager and combine static-structural design with practical detailed planning. The focus is on the development, calculation and dimensioning of complex structures in building construction as well as coordination with architecture, specialist planning and execution. Currently, you can expect to be involved in a large-scale commercial building project with demanding structural and static tasks.
Responsibilities:
Project management or junior project management in the structural design of demanding building projects across the relevant SIA phases
Development of structural concepts for new buildings, conversions and complex structural tasks
Execution of static calculations, assessments and dimensioning for structures made of reinforced concrete, steel and other structural materials
Preparation of static proofs, technical reports and calculation documentation
Handling of detailed and execution planning in close cooperation with designers and project teams
Use of CUBUS and/or AXIS for static calculations and modelling
Coordination of structural design with architects, specialist planners, clients and contractors
Conducting plan and execution checks as well as technical support of projects during realisation
Preparation of cost estimates and tender documents for structural components and structural work
Assessment and handling of project changes and static-structural optimisations during planning and execution
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA structural standards as well as project-specific quality requirements
Professional coordination of internal project participants and ensuring quality-, deadline- and cost-compliant project processing
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a structural engineer ETH/FH or comparable university degree
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in structural design, preferably in Swiss building construction
Solid expertise in structural analysis, structural concept and assessment
Experience in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures as well as in detailed structural planning
Good knowledge of relevant SIA structural standards
Proficient use of CUBUS and/or AXIS is an advantage
Good German language skills spoken and written
