Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the design and execution planning of demanding architectural and building projects. You will be involved in diverse construction projects and accompany them from the initial design idea through planning development to construction implementation. The focus is on architectural design, digital 3D planning with ArchiCAD, as well as participation in architectural competitions and study commissions. The position combines design aspirations, constructive planning expertise, and independent project management with the opportunity to shape construction projects through all relevant planning and realisation phases.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the design and execution planning of demanding building projects in new construction, renovation, and refurbishment

• Development and further processing of architectural designs considering aesthetic, functional, and economic requirements

• Involvement in architectural competitions and study commissions including concept development, variant studies, and preparation of competition entries

• Preparation of preliminary, construction, and approval plans as well as processing of necessary planning documents

• Development of execution, working, and detail plans with ArchiCAD for technically and aesthetically precise implementation of architectural concepts

• Creation and maintenance of digital 3D building models as a basis for project development, planning coordination, and visualisation

• Development of constructive solutions and architectural details focusing on materialisation, build quality, and technical feasibility

• Coordination of interfaces between architecture, structural engineering, building services, and other disciplines during the design and execution phases

• Review and integration of building law, structural, and building physics requirements into architectural planning

• Preparation of presentation materials, plan representations, and visualisations for clients, competition procedures, and project meetings

• Close collaboration with project management, specialist planners, and site management to ensure coordinated and high-quality project processing

• Support of projects through various planning and construction phases including clarification of technical issues and assistance during realisation

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or an equivalent recognised higher education qualification in architecture

• Several years of professional experience in architectural planning and project management of demanding building projects, preferably in the Swiss planning environment

• Solid knowledge in design, approval, and execution planning as well as interest in comprehensive project support

• Excellent CAD skills and practical experience in 3D building modelling with ArchiCAD and confident handling of digital planning documents

• Strong architectural and design understanding as well as interest in design, competition work, construction, and materialisation

• Good knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards, building regulations, and planning processes as well as an independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for project coordination and communication as well as organisational talent, teamwork, and enjoyment of constructive collaboration
