Packaging Team Leader

Full-time position

Reporting to the production manager, you are responsible for the smooth running of the packaging and bottling/labeling lines of our production chain.

Team management

Ensure close operational supervision of the 8 packaging operators. Manage schedules, absences, training and skills development. Provide daily guidance and support to staff on site. Replace operators on the line if necessary (filler, labeller, cartoner, palletiser, ...)

Production management

Master the operation of a large packaging or bottling line. Prepare and organise productions according to the defined schedule. Supervise bottling and labelling operations, organise format changes, manage speeds and deadlines. In coordination with the purchaser, ensure the availability of dry materials necessary for the smooth running of the production schedule, anticipate needs and shortages, and implement computerised stock management to ensure monitoring and reliability. Anticipate problems that could disrupt production. Guarantee achievement of production, quality and efficiency targets.

Continuous improvement and maintenance

Ensure first-level maintenance of equipment by operators. Identify machine malfunctions and implement corrective actions with maintenance. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects by applying Lean Management principles. Create, update and control the application of production procedures and nomenclatures.

Quality, Hygiene, Safety and Environment

Organise and monitor cleaning and disinfection operations of the facilities. Ensure compliance with QHSE standards by all teams. Train staff in good practices and current procedures.

Your profile

Technical training and proven experience on a packaging line in the food industry sector. Successful experience in team management, good communication skills. Reliable and available with good stress resistance. Solution-oriented, proactive, strong ability to take initiatives to solve problems. Forklift licence is a plus. Knowledge of hygiene, quality and safety standards (FSSC 22000). Good computer skills.
