About the job

As part of an ongoing merger process between the CREDE Foundation and the PEP Association, the committees of the two non-profit organisations are advertising the position of:

Director of the new entity at 90-100%

The organisation resulting from the merger develops and implements a range of services aimed at professionals, institutions and partners involved in day care for children. It aims to contribute to the development and promotion of the quality of day care and to establish itself as a key partner in the sector in the canton of Vaud.

Your mission

You will ensure the strategic, educational, managerial and financial leadership of the new organisation.

In this capacity, you will:

• Ensure alignment between the strategic directions set by the committee, the organisation’s missions, the legal and institutional framework, and ensure operational implementation.
• Actively contribute to the implementation of the merger process and unite the teams around a common culture.
• Develop and coordinate services adapted to the needs on the ground.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team and foster a respectful working environment that encourages motivation, commitment and collective dynamics.
• Represent the organisation to authorities, partners and funders.

Your profile

Your strengths: strategic vision, collaborative leadership, change management, management of complex projects, political acumen and commitment to skills development and educational innovation.

• Master’s degree in social work, educational sciences, social sciences or an equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in the childhood and education sector
• Experience in adult education is desirable
• At least 5 years’ experience in a management or team leader role
• Experience collaborating with political, strategic or decision-making bodies
• Excellent ability to carry a vision, lead change and develop strategic partnerships
• Mobilising and unifying leadership, combined with excellent communication skills and genuine interpersonal talent.
• Good understanding of issues related to day care for children
• Occasional availability in the evenings and flexibility in working hours; driving licence
