Project Manager in Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager Structural Engineering / Building Construction to lead demanding structural projects in residential, industrial, and commercial construction. You will develop and design economical steel and reinforced concrete structures and additionally handle geotechnical tasks such as excavation pits, underpinning, and foundations. As a project manager, you will take on the technical leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate collaboration with architecture, specialist planning, clients, and contractors. In addition to technical project work, the role also includes managing existing clients and acquiring new projects.
Responsibilities:
Independent management and handling of demanding building construction projects in structural engineering
Development of economical structural concepts for residential, industrial, and commercial buildings
Planning and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures
Execution and verification of structural calculations, structural analyses, and design proofs
Handling geotechnical tasks, especially for excavation pits, underpinning, and foundations
Development of constructive solutions considering architecture, usage, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility
Technical leadership and coordination of engineers, designers, and other project participants
Coordination of interfaces between structural planning, architecture, geotechnics, and building services engineering
Accompanying projects from concept and design to tendering and execution
Ensuring structural planning complies with relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Consulting and supporting existing clients, architectural firms, and other customers
Supporting quotations, project acquisition, and the expansion of existing customer relationships
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a civil engineer ETH or FH
Experience in structural engineering and structural planning
Solid knowledge in steel and reinforced concrete construction as well as statics and design
Knowledge in geotechnics, excavation pits, underpinning, and foundations
Experience in project management and interdisciplinary planning coordination
Confident handling of modern structural, calculation, and planning software
Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
