Educator (M/F/X) - Permanent Contract at 80%

Driven by the values of fairness and respect, the Vernand Foundation - a non-profit organisation, recognised as being of public utility and founded in 1972 - is committed to serving more than 600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, developmental disorders or autism spectrum disorders, in order to contribute to a more humane, inclusive society, open to difference and capable of adapting to the needs of each individual.

To contribute to our inclusive goals and ensure the well-being, health and quality of life of adult residents of the TSA micro-structures located in Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne, we are looking for a:

Context and mission

Aware of the challenges surrounding the reception and support of complex cases, the Vernand Foundation created three micro-structures in summer 2016 currently hosting 8 TSA residents. By welcoming these individuals, we have committed to providing them with an environment conducive to their well-being and the development of their skills through structured and adapted support.

For 10 years, the individualised support of these people has proven effective and the residents demonstrate new skills which leads us to continuously improve the service provision to enable their personal fulfilment.

Profile

• Possess a diploma as an educator, or ASE, ASSC or nursing assistant with experience in an educational setting
• Be enthusiastic to adhere to the values and projects of the Foundation, to invest in its mission with an adult TSA audience (the interpersonal skills must correspond to our institutional culture)
• Have acquired the necessary skills related to supporting TSA individuals: the person benefits from training or practices linked to complex situations.
• Demonstrate relational qualities, adaptability, creativity to juggle the diversity of necessary postures and proposed activities
• Motivation to work on a project that involves challenges and will evolve over time
• A sense of responsibility, communication, adaptability, flexibility and autonomy
• An interest in networking, with families and legal representatives
• Flexible working hours (night work possible via an on-call service)
• Hold a driving licence

Additional information

We offer you an innovative collaborative environment through participative management and supported by supervisions, educational days, practice analyses, training and weekly seminars. Working conditions according to the CCT of the canton of Vaud. (for a 100% rate: 4.5h/week - 8 weeks of holiday per year).
