Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer, you take technical responsibility for IT infrastructures at various customers. From the initial requirements analysis to productive operation, you accompany each project yourself. The focus is on Windows Server, virtualised server environments, and high-performance networks. Those who enjoy delving deeply into systems and sharing knowledge will find a varied role here.
Responsibilities:
You gather customer requirements and develop technical concepts for servers, clients, and network infrastructure.
You set up, expand, and maintain hypervisor environments with Hyper-V and VMware, keeping them up to date.
In addition, you operate routing, switching, WLAN, and firewall rules and document your configurations thoroughly.
You monitor system performance, backups, and availability and close security gaps through consistent update management.
You conduct customer appointments independently, remotely or directly on site, and resolve faults down to the root cause.
You also provide users with practical know-how on IT topics in training sessions.
Qualifications:
You have a vocational qualification as an IT specialist or a Microsoft certification related to Windows Server.
You bring practical experience with server infrastructure, network protocols such as TCP/IP and VLAN, as well as virtualisation.
Additionally, you have solid knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and automation with PowerShell.
You enjoy working independently, organise your assignments prudently, and keep an overview in complex environments.
Reliability, responsibility, and an open attitude within the team are natural for you.
You are also mobile with a category B driving licence.
