Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
You develop and coordinate demanding automation and control solutions for industrial plants and accompany these from planning to acceptance. You work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments and take responsibility for technical solutions and their implementation.
Responsibilities:
You plan control structures according to customer specifications and technical requirements.
You specify control systems and control cabinets and support their procurement.
You supervise contractors and advise customers on technical issues.
You conduct acceptance tests at manufacturers on-site or virtually.
You participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers.
You coordinate collaboration at internal and external interfaces.
You handle demanding tasks independently and actively contribute to international projects.
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree as an automation, mechatronics or electrical engineer FH/ETH or a comparable qualification.
You bring at least five years of experience in automation technology, ideally in plant engineering.
You have experience in planning complex control systems and control cabinets.
Knowledge of ATEX/IECEx, NEC or functional safety is an advantage.
Experience with PCS7, S7, Allen-Bradley, Bently Nevada and/or COMOS is a plus.
Knowledge in the area of cyber security is an advantage.
You work in a structured, independent manner and communicate confidently with different departments.
You have fluent German and English skills.
You are willing to travel about 10% nationally and internationally.
