As a Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer, you take responsibility for the reliable operation and further development of modern IT infrastructure services in an international environment. You work on demanding platforms around servers, storage, virtualisation and Microsoft infrastructures, ensuring high availability and sustainable optimisation of the systems. You analyse complex technical requirements, implement improvements and support the resolution of challenging infrastructure issues. With your experience in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, PowerShell and security, you actively help shape a stable and future-proof IT landscape.
Responsibilities:
Support and further development of modern enterprise infrastructures focusing on servers, storage, SAN, virtualisation and Active Directory
Ensuring stable operation of physical and virtual system environments including lifecycle management, updates and capacity planning
Implementation of secure and scalable infrastructure solutions as well as optimisation of existing IT services
Analysis and resolution of complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support for Windows Server, VMware and storage systems
Automation of operational processes with PowerShell and collaboration with internal IT teams as well as external technology partners
Qualifications:
Completed education (Bachelor, HF or equivalent) in computer science, system engineering or a technical field
Several years of experience (7+ years) in IT system engineering, IT operations or complex enterprise infrastructures
Solid knowledge of servers, storage, SAN, VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory and modern Microsoft infrastructure services
Experience with PowerShell, automation, IT security, patch management, monitoring and hybrid identity solutions
Analytical and solution-oriented working style as well as strong communication skills in collaboration with global IT teams and partners with very good English skills
