Varied IT instead of one-sided specialisation
Do you feel comfortable in classic system technology as well as in modern Microsoft environments? Do you want to understand different IT landscapes, support customers with technical challenges and implement solutions that really work in everyday life? Then this role offers you a versatile environment with infrastructure, cloud, security and communication from a single source.
Responsibilities:
Plan and operate systems stably
You design, install and operate Windows server environments, Active Directory, group policies and terminal server solutions.
You manage virtualisation, servers and storage and ensure a reliable technical basis for customer infrastructures.
You analyse faults across various system components and sustainably optimise existing environments.
Connect network and security
You implement and manage network, firewall, WLAN and VPN solutions including switching, VLAN and routing.
You further develop security measures for identities, endpoints and access – including with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access and suitable endpoint security solutions.
You ensure with appropriate backup and recovery concepts that data and systems can be restored in case of faults.
Integrate Microsoft services and communication
You administer Microsoft 365 and connect cloud services with existing on-premises systems.
You implement telephony and communication solutions based on VoIP, SIP, 3CX or Microsoft Teams.
You integrate monitoring and remote management tools to proactively monitor systems and make support more efficient.
Implement changes professionally
You carry out migrations, system integrations and technical renewals.
You automate recurring tasks with PowerShell or suitable tools.
You evaluate new technologies and AI applications for their practical benefit and support their introduction.
You coordinate technical projects and accompany customers from planning to successful implementation.
Qualifications:
A completed education in computer science or ICT system technology or an equivalent qualification.
Several years of practical experience in engineering and operation of IT infrastructures for business customers.
Solid knowledge in several areas such as Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, network, firewall, Microsoft 365 and backup.
The ability to recognise connections between systems, networks, security and cloud services.
A structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working as well as the willingness to familiarise yourself with new technologies.
Enjoyment in not only planning technical solutions but also implementing and supporting them in operation.
Additional advantages
Experience with Barracuda RMM, SentinelOne, Scale Computing, Swisscom SBC, 3CX, Veeam, Mount10, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, Conditional Access or Linux complements your profile. Knowledge in technical project management is also welcome. You do not have to cover every one of these areas – what matters is a strong technical foundation and the willingness to take responsibility for different customer environments.
