The company wants to anchor IT, digitalisation and artificial intelligence specifically at the Board level and is looking for an independent personality with hands-on implementation experience. You share overall responsibility of the body according to Art. 716a CO and take over the department IT, digitalisation and AI - as a professional sparring partner of the management, critical but constructive.
Your tasks

- ERP: critical support of ERP initiatives - project plan, budget, milestones and go-live
- Digitalisation and AI: evaluate and prioritise initiatives; identify AI applications with measurable benefits
- IT risks and IT organisation: anchor cybersecurity and information security in risk management; assess organisation, sourcing and service providers
Your profile

- SAP: at least one self-managed - not just accompanied - SAP implementation or migration; sound knowledge of SAP processes
- Chemicals - mandatory: professional experience in (speciality) chemicals or a related process industry; understanding of production, plant safety, product approval and environmental regulations
- Management: several years of leadership experience with result or divisional responsibility and involvement in strategic issues at the highest level
- Independence: no longer operational main activity and no conflicts of interest - in particular no business relationship with competitors, suppliers or IT service providers of the company
- Personality: you assess IT initiatives for benefit, risk and feasibility and make them understandable for non-specialists; team player in a small board; fluent in German and English
- Desirable: board experience as director, supervisory or advisory board member; a self-managed AI project; international experience
The mandate
The commitment is around 20-35 days per year, initially rather at the upper end. The mandate is compatible with other board and advisory mandates. Remuneration and term of office will be discussed in a personal interview.
Interested?
Please send us your dossier, in a few sentences your most relevant self-managed SAP implementation or migration, your current availability and an overview of your existing mandates. Incomplete applications cannot be considered. Absolute discretion is of course guaranteed.
