Operations Electrician: Maintenance Baggage Sorting System 80 - 100%

The Baggage Systems section at Zurich Airport manages systems of strategic importance for the smooth handling of air passengers, especially their luggage. At the baggage sorting, 50,000 pieces of luggage are sorted daily and transported over a distance of 12 kilometres to the aircraft docks, so that they can be collected by their owners at the destination. Together with your team, you are responsible for a high availability of the baggage sorting systems in a very exciting, varied and demanding area of responsibility.

Your job destination

• You carry out maintenance work, troubleshoot and analyse technical faults
• You are prepared to work shifts (between 04:15 and 23:00) including Saturdays and Sundays as well as occasional on-call duties
• You are responsible for quality assurance by identifying weaknesses and conducting fault analyses
• You optimise the system through continuous improvements
• You document faults as well as material consumption

Your skills in your baggage

• You have completed an apprenticeship as an electrician/installer EFZ, automation technician or similar and can demonstrate at least 2 years of professional experience, preferably you are already an operations electrician with NIV Art. 13
• You have experience in the maintenance of industrial machines and basic knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC (TIA Portal)
• You hold a category B driving licence
• High sense of responsibility, enjoyment of precise and independent work is natural for you
• You are an open and team-oriented personality
