Role:
Network security thrives on clear concepts and clean operation. As a Security Network Engineer (firewall focus), you design modern security architectures and bring firewall environments to the next level. You work on solutions with Next Generation Firewalls, web proxies, and load balancers. In doing so, you advise internal teams as well as customers on an equal footing. Technical depth, pragmatism, and humour are equally required here.
Responsibilities:
You plan, operate, and further develop network security solutions, with a focus on Palo Alto
You carry out migrations from legacy systems to the target architecture
Furthermore, you manage the security infrastructure with web proxy, load balancers including WAF, as well as firewalls in the cloud and in the company’s own data centre
You analyse disruptions and resolve them sustainably
In addition, you advise on projects and architectural issues
You also document solutions and share your knowledge within the team
Qualifications:
You bring several years of IT professional experience
Firewalls, proxies, and VPN are part of your daily toolkit
Solid experience with Palo Alto NGFW distinguishes you; certification is a plus
Further training in networking with a security focus, such as CCNP Enterprise or equivalent, is welcome
Additionally, broad network knowledge, ideally around Cisco in data centre, LAN, WLAN, and core, is beneficial
You also convince through a solution-oriented, customer-focused working style, confident German, and English skills for technical exchange
