Role:
Modern workplaces only function if devices, apps, and updates reliably work together in the background. This is exactly where you come in. As a Workplace System Engineer, you take responsibility for the operation and further development of Windows clients and mobile devices in a Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. With Microsoft Intune and PowerShell, you create stable standards and streamlined processes. Complex error patterns challenge you, and you are only satisfied with the real cause.
Responsibilities:
You configure configuration profiles, compliance policies, and endpoint security settings for Android, iOS, and Windows devices and develop them purposefully.
You analyse complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support and conduct root cause analyses for recurring problems.
You plan update rings and manage feature and quality updates to ensure a secure and up-to-date client landscape.
Furthermore, you package applications and distribute them automatically to the end devices.
In addition, you administer OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint and automate the technical onboarding and offboarding including licences and permissions.
You also implement changes, migrations, and lifecycle measures and develop operational concepts and technical standards.
Qualifications:
You have at least 3 years of experience in endpoint, workplace, or client engineering.
You are at home with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 and also have practical knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
You have solid knowledge of MDM, MAM, device enrolment, and policies and use Intune routinely in daily work.
Experience with Windows Autopilot, automated software deployments, and Windows Update for Business rounds off your profile.
You also understand how endpoint management, identity, and security interact.
Additionally, you work solution-oriented and independently and enjoy automating administrative tasks with your own scripts.
