Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager Building Construction for the independent management of demanding construction projects in Central Switzerland. You will take overall control from planning to execution and ensure compliance with cost, schedule, and quality requirements. You will lead the planning team and site management and coordinate all interfaces with authorities, specialist planners, contractors, and other project participants. The position is situated in a professional general contracting and building construction environment with high project responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Overall management of demanding building construction projects from the planning phase to completion and handover

• Responsibility for professional, cost, schedule, and quality-compliant project execution

• Leadership and coordination of the planning team and site management across all relevant project phases

• Control and monitoring of planning and execution processes including ongoing target-actual comparisons

• Coordination of collaboration with authorities, architects, specialist planners, contractors, and trades

• Management of interfaces between planning, site management, execution, and client

• Responsibility for cost management, scheduling, project controlling, and reporting

• Support of tendering, awarding, and contract processes as well as monitoring of commissioned services

• Review and coordination of execution documents, plan statuses, and technical solutions

• Support of acceptances, defect rectification, and project completion up to proper handover

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, Swiss building regulations, and contractual requirements

• Coordination of buyer consultation and fit-out requirements for corresponding residential construction projects

Qualifications:

• Completed education as Architect FH/ETH, Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Technician HF Building Construction or comparable qualification in construction

• Several years of professional experience as construction and project manager in Swiss building construction

• Solid knowledge in project management, site supervision, cost and schedule management

• Experience in leading planning teams and site management

• Good knowledge of SIA standards, Swiss building processes, and contract basics

• Experience in coordinating specialist planners, contractors, authorities, and other project participants
