Technical Security Consultant (m/f/d)

Role:
You want to not only operate security solutions but also technically design, specifically improve, and sustainably anchor them within an organisation? In this position, you take responsibility for the further development of security architectures, protection mechanisms, and technical standards. You work on challenging issues around critical infrastructures, strengthen detection and defence capabilities, and support various stakeholders in implementing effective security measures.
Responsibilities:
You analyse existing security solutions and specifically develop technical security controls as well as detection, prevention, and protection mechanisms.
You design and implement security architectures for demanding environments, taking into account technical risks, scalability, and regulatory requirements.
You implement security engineering concepts and technical guidelines, orienting yourself on established approaches such as OWASP.
You further develop SIEM and XDR functionalities from a technical perspective, thereby improving the detection and analysis of security-relevant events.
You contribute your expertise in vulnerability management, incident response, and technical prevention measures.
You support the establishment and further development of the ISMS and help to document technical and organisational security measures comprehensibly.
You respond to technical security inquiries from customers and assist with audits, evidence, and the assessment of security requirements.
You advise internal departments and customers on complex security-related projects and accompany the technical implementation.
You work closely with security operations, system engineering, and operations to ensure that governance requirements and operational security processes are technically well integrated.
You contribute to security policies, requirement catalogues, and technical standards and support their consistent implementation.
Qualifications:
You have training or further education in computer science, cyber security, or information security or possess an equivalent qualification.
You have practical experience in security engineering, security operations, or information security.
You have sound knowledge of SIEM, XDR, vulnerability management, and incident response.
You can translate security requirements into technical measures and understand the interrelations between architecture, operations, and governance.
You are familiar with standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or the ICT minimum standard.
You work in a structured manner, analyse problems independently, and gladly take responsibility for implementation.
You communicate very well in German and well in English.
You have a pronounced hands-on mentality and want to actively build and improve technical security solutions.
