Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/d)
Our partner is a family-run company headquartered in Switzerland and market leader for automated personal and goods protection on busy railways in Europe. Railway automation and highly available radio systems complement the product range and market segments.
The company employs around 210 people and operates in several countries with locations in Switzerland, Germany, England, Italy, Austria and Spain - as well as sales partners in Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Poland, France, Portugal and Morocco, carefully selecting its partners to responsibly fulfil its safety-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of requirements and problems related to hardware development
- Design and development of hardware components and systems
- Selection of components and technologies for hardware development
- Conducting simulations and tests to verify the functionality of hardware components and systems
- Development of circuit diagrams and layouts for printed circuit boards and systems
- Collaboration with other engineers and professionals in hardware development
- Adherence to best practices and standards in hardware development
- Evaluation and improvement of performance, reliability and safety of hardware components and systems
- Creation of documentation, specifications and reports on hardware development
- Integration of hardware components into systems and applications
- Development of processes for manufacturing and assembling hardware components and systems
Qualifications:
- Completed degree in electrical engineering
- Several years of professional experience in the design and realisation of systems in the capital goods sector
- Experience in LabVIEW/Teststand and knowledge of development processes in a technological environment
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
