For one of our clients based in Geneva, we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Integration Engineer.
Context
Within the infrastructure management department, responsible for the operation of information systems, the Integration service orchestrates the transition from development to testing and then to production, and automates application operations. It acts as an interface between application providers, infrastructure teams and services.
The service operates within a DevSecOps approach. In connection with development projects and infrastructure teams, it deploys high-service-level systems into production, aiming to maintain the service levels of managed assets while integrating their growth and risks related to obsolescence. It contributes to the 24/7 operational maintenance of managed systems, including critical systems with very high availability.
The service's mission covers three areas:
Technical integration and deployment of application solutions on IT environments
Design and implementation of operational assets for managed systems and applications
System operation supporting the second-level operations team
The service is organised into two divisions:
A specialised integration division, which evolves integration methods so that custom solutions become standard or new standards, capitalising on acquired experience
An industrialised integration division, which handles a large volume of integration projects with optimised workload and deadlines
As a technical integration engineer, you create integration and operational assets and are responsible for the operability of applications and the quality of production releases. You support service managers in implementing integration and operational processes and best practices. The role combines technical expertise with the ability to synthesise and deliver solutions in a service-oriented approach.
The position is subject to a security clearance procedure.
Your responsibilities
Carry out necessary actions for integration and deployment into development, testing and production environments, aiming for optimal operability and respecting the expected service level
Participate in defining the technical architecture of applications
Install, configure and set up applications in various environments
Implement or oversee implementation of operational assets (probes, batch jobs, tests, deployment industrialisation) defined upstream
Write and complete operational documentation, have it validated by stakeholders and reference operational assets in repositories (notably ITSM-CMDB and ITAM)
Perform technical testing of applications, including verification of operability requirements
Contribute to deliverables expected at the pre-production milestone
Manage change with IT operations teams to minimise second-level operational actions
Provide on-call support during standard hours as well as stand-by and interventions outside standard hours, as requested by management or service managers
Intervene at second level on production incidents and routine production tasks (operational incidents, IT production and printing management)
Take charge of change coordination: impact analyses, schedules and rollback plans
Lead and participate in due diligence projects (operational takeover)
Lead and participate in projects to evolve integration tools and practices
Actively participate in continuous improvement of practices and tools, notably to minimise run-time interventions
Education
Bachelor's degree from a University of Applied Sciences or equivalent in computer science, EPF engineering degree or federal diploma
