About the job

As a Team Leader in Plant Operations at Primeo Industriecontracting in Zofingen, you will take on responsibility for a complex supply and disposal system as part of a succession plan. Steam, electricity, water, compressed air, and nitrogen are just as much part of your daily routine as the proper handling of exhaust air, wastewater, and solvent waste.

Together with your team, you ensure that our plants run reliably. You not only lead but also get hands-on – whether during maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairs. Every intervention has a direct impact on safe and smooth operation, which makes your role so varied.

Our plants are technically diverse and demanding. To keep them running reliably, someone is needed who keeps an overview, pitches in, and leads a team competently.

What to expect with us

• You lead an experienced team of 5 specialists in operations and maintenance.
• You get hands-on yourself: maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs are as much part of your daily routine as organisation and planning.
• You ensure that our plants run reliably and safely – from proactive planning to rapid intervention in emergencies.
• You coordinate deployments, secure materials and resources, and ensure smooth processes.
• You ensure the implementation and compliance with our SHE requirements (Safety, Health, Environment) at all times.
• You act as the interface to internal departments and external partners regarding technology, maintenance, and operations.
• You take on administrative tasks such as reporting, ordering, and documentation.
• After thorough training, you will also take on on-call duties, which requires living in the region.

What you bring

• Completed mechanical or technical vocational training EFZ or equivalent qualification, supplemented by higher technical education HF (e.g. building technology, process engineering).
• Several years of professional experience in operating steam boilers, exhaust air incineration plants, water treatment, and wastewater treatment plants.
• Further training as a heating plant operator or willingness to complete it.
• Enjoyment of hands-on work – you don’t just stand by but pick up the tools yourself.
• Willingness to undertake on-call duties.
• Good MS Office skills, SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Leadership experience as well as strong social and communication skills.
• Sense of responsibility, assertiveness, and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Fluent German, English is an advantage.
