In this role as Senior Network Engineer, you play a central role in providing secure, stable, and scalable network services for global business requirements. Together with the team, you are responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and support of internally operated network services. You ensure that the networks meet the current and future needs of the company. You work closely with internal departments and coordinate with external partners to ensure smooth processes and high service quality.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of an international network landscape with responsibility for central connectivity, data centre, and network security services
Ensuring highly available network platforms through professional engineering, monitoring, and sustainable troubleshooting at 2nd and 3rd level
Translating complex business requirements into secure and scalable network solutions considering global architecture and security standards
Technical leadership and implementation of network projects around lifecycle, cloud connectivity, and security as well as professional support and knowledge transfer to junior staff
Qualifications:
Higher technical education at HF/Bachelor level or comparable background as well as at least seven years of professional experience in demanding IT and network environments
In-depth know-how in enterprise networking and data centre technologies with routing, switching, MPLS, and BGP as well as practical experience with Cisco and Huawei infrastructures
Solid knowledge in LAN/WLAN, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, and network monitoring as well as good understanding of central services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP
Analytical and communicative senior engineer with pronounced troubleshooting skills and very good English skills for collaboration in an international environment
