Role:
In this role, you take on the design, implementation, and maintenance of modern cloud and hybrid infrastructures while simultaneously leading demanding IT projects from analysis to completion. You are responsible for direct communication with clients, gathering requirements, documenting them, and implementing them into technically optimal solutions. As a Senior System Engineer, you lead project teams professionally, keep track of project status and reporting, and ensure a clean handover to operations. You are familiar with Microsoft environments, client and server hardware, as well as solutions related to backup, firewall, WLAN, and central services such as Active Directory, Entra ID, or Exchange Online. You combine deep technical knowledge with a strong service orientation and a structured working style.
Responsibilities:
You design, implement, and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructures for customer environments.
In this role, you optimise and further develop existing IT infrastructures according to defined customer requirements.
You take on the technical project management from requirements analysis to successful completion.
As an experienced system engineering professional, you plan, coordinate, and realise demanding technical customer projects.
You lead the project team professionally, create meaningful status reports, and ensure up-to-date technical documentation.
In this role, you work closely with consulting and sales and ensure high service and project quality.
Qualifications:
- Completed training as a platform developer EFZ (formerly system technician EFZ)
- Several years of practical experience in system engineering, ideally in complex infrastructure environments
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services as well as Microsoft 365, including OneDrive for Business
- High commitment, including willingness to work outside regular hours during infrastructure migrations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills combined with responsible, reliable working methods and high quality standards
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, understanding of Swiss German, as well as good English skills for technical documentation and communication
