Architect (m/f/d)

Salary - CHF95,000 - 100,000

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional as an FH/ETH architect for an established architectural firm with demanding new build and refurbishment projects in building construction. You will accompany diverse architectural projects from design and project planning to execution planning and construction realisation. The focus is on developing high-quality architectural concepts, constructive detail planning, and technical coordination with specialist planners and other project participants. The position combines architectural design, building construction, and digital architectural planning with the opportunity to actively shape demanding construction projects across several SIA project phases.


Responsibilities:

  • Architectural design: Develop and further process demanding architectural concepts for new build, refurbishment, and renovation projects in building construction

  • Project planning according to SIA: Work on preliminary project, construction project, approval procedures, and execution planning considering design and technical requirements

  • CAD and 3D planning: Create and edit design, project, building permit, execution, and detail plans using common architectural software

  • Building construction and detail development: Develop precise construction details, component connections, façade solutions, and material concepts

  • Building in existing structures: Develop architectural and constructive solutions for conversions, renovations, and further development of existing buildings

  • Design and concept studies: Develop floor plan variants, volume studies, usage concepts, and architectural presentations

  • Coordination with specialist planners: Coordinate architectural planning with structural engineers, building services planners, and other disciplines

  • Execution planning: Create and coordinate technically feasible work and execution documents considering SIA standards and Swiss building regulations

  • Plan review and quality assurance: Check architectural and specialist planner documents for planning consistency, detail quality, and constructability

  • Project coordination: Participate in planning meetings, client consultations, and technical project decisions during various project phases

  • Design and technical optimisation: Further develop architectural projects considering architectural quality, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and materialisation


Qualifications:

  • Completed architecture degree FH or ETH or equivalent recognised university degree

  • Professional experience in design, project, or execution planning of demanding building construction projects, ideally in the Swiss architectural market

  • Solid knowledge in architectural design, building construction, detail development, and materialisation

  • Good user knowledge of CAD and 3D architectural software, such as ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, or comparable programmes

  • Knowledge of Swiss SIA planning phases, building standards, and building law requirements

  • Experience in planning new builds and refurbishments as well as coordination with specialist planners is an advantage

  • Very good German skills for technical project work, planning coordination, and project documentation
