Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Road Construction & Civil Engineering for the overall management of demanding infrastructure projects from study to realisation. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams and be responsible for the technical, scheduling and financial control of your own project portfolio. The focus is on complex road construction projects in existing structures with interfaces to utilities, traffic, drainage and environment as well as norm-compliant and economical planning. Additionally, you will contribute to the further development of digital planning processes and assume technical responsibility within the project team.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for road construction and civil engineering projects across all relevant SIA project phases from study and design to tendering and realisation
Technical and organisational leadership of engineers, draftsmen, specialist planners and external project partners
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and resources within your own project portfolio
Management of complex road construction projects in existing structures considering existing infrastructure and operational conditions
Coordination of interfaces with utilities, drainage, traffic, civil structures and environment
Development and evaluation of variant studies, design bases and technical solution concepts
Ensuring planning according to relevant VSS and SIA standards as well as cantonal and municipal requirements
Preparation and coordination of tender and submission documents, cost estimates and quotations
Coordination with clients, authorities, municipalities, utility companies and other specialist offices as well as leading project and coordination meetings
Further development and standardisation of digital planning methods and BIM-oriented processes in infrastructure construction
Use of ProVi or comparable digital planning tools for road and infrastructure planning
Technical support and further development of project staff as well as quality assurance within project processing
Qualifications:
Completed studies as civil engineer FH/ETH or a comparable higher education in infrastructure construction
Several years of professional experience as project manager in road and civil engineering in the Swiss planning or engineering environment
Sound knowledge in road design, general civil engineering and utility coordination across several SIA phases
Experience in the technical leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and management of complex planning projects
Very good knowledge in cost, schedule and quality management as well as relevant VSS and SIA standards
Knowledge of digital planning methods, ideally practical experience with ProVi
Very good German language skills for project management, authority contacts and technical documentation
