Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified specialist as Project Manager Heating for an established Swiss building technology company specialising in heating installations, energy-efficient heat generation, and modernisation of existing heating systems. You will independently plan, coordinate, and implement heating projects in office and commercial buildings as well as single and multi-family houses. The focus is on technical project planning, development of renovation concepts, calculation and quotation, as well as cost and quality control. You will accompany your projects from the initial customer consultation through execution to commissioning and handover of the heating systems and coordinate collaboration with clients, specialist planners, and installation teams.

Responsibilities:

• Heating project management: Independently lead and coordinate heating installation and renovation projects in residential, office, and commercial construction

• Heating planning and project design: Plan and dimension heat generation systems, heat distribution, heating groups, and hydraulic systems considering technical requirements

• Heating renovations and modernisation: Analyse existing heating systems and develop and implement renovation, replacement, and energy optimisation concepts

• Heat generation and energy efficiency: Design and coordinate heat pumps, district heating connections, and other contemporary heating systems according to project requirements

• Project execution and implementation: Manage construction projects from technical planning through material procurement and installation to commissioning

• Calculation and quotation: Prepare cost estimates, quotations, specifications, and technical offer documents for new installations and renovations

• Cost and project controlling: Monitor project budgets, material costs, installation effort, change orders, and profitability of ongoing projects

• Building technology quality assurance: Check installation quality, technical execution, system function, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations

• Installation and resource coordination: Plan and coordinate installation teams, material deliveries, contractor services, and execution schedules

• Construction and coordination meetings: Participate in and lead project meetings, site inspections, and technical coordination with clients and specialist planners

• Commissioning and system handover: Organise and accompany functional tests, hydraulic balancing, commissioning, acceptance, and technical handovers

• Project administration and documentation: Process orders, project reports, billing, revision documents, and project controlling data using suitable ERP and office applications

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training as a building services planner heating EFZ, heating installer EFZ with further training as heating master or chief installer, or a comparable qualification in heating and building technology

• Professional experience in heating planning, heating installation, or project management, preferably in residential, office, or commercial construction

• Sound knowledge of heating technology, hydraulic systems, heat generation and heat distribution, as well as experience with the renovation of existing heating systems

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss building technology standards and energy regulations, especially applicable SIA and SVGW basics as well as cantonal energy requirements

• Experience in calculation, quotation, cost control, and technical project execution as well as coordination of installation teams and external project participants

• Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally experience with Abacus or a comparable ERP system

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for customer support and project coordination as well as a category B driving licence
