Structural Calculation Engineer M/F

You are a qualified Engineer and wish to apply your expertise in calculation and sizing to complex industrial projects?

Our client, a company specialised in the Naval, Lifting and Heavy Equipment sectors, designs and manufactures high value-added structures and technical equipment. As part of its growth, it is seeking a Structural Calculation Engineer proficient in FEMAP and MSC Nastran, capable of analysing, sizing and optimising structures from the design phase through to testing.

Your mission

You will work on mechanical structure and heavy equipment projects. You analyse client needs and carry out sizing and strength calculations to ensure the reliability of the structures.

Your main tasks:

• Analyse the clients’ needs and technical specifications.
• Perform sizing and strength calculations of structures.
• Verify their resistance to static, dynamic and thermal loads.
• Conduct finite element simulations using FEMAP and MSC Nastran.
• Interpret results and propose design optimisations.
• Write calculation notes and technical documentation.
• Participate in technical meetings, tests and client discussions.
• Present and defend your technical choices.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, structures or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural calculation.
• Proficient in strength of materials, finite elements, FEMAP and MSC Nastran.
• Experience in naval, lifting or heavy equipment is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Autonomous, rigorous and able to defend your technical choices.
