Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability Engineer

Your mission:
Within the operations management unit, you play a key role in the reliability, availability, and development of hydroelectric installations in collaboration with other units. You are the guarantor of efficient, flexible, and sustainably future-oriented operation.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure a comprehensive vision of the technical and strategic challenges of the facilities and maintain their coherence over time.
- Participate in design reviews, carry out preventive inspections during overhauls, and validate project handovers to operations.
- Support field teams in resolving failures, closely liaising with technical experts.
- Lead cross-functional analyses, capitalise on feedback, and promote a continuous improvement dynamic.
- Optimise and flexibilise maintenance work according to the priorities of each partner.
- Participate in integrating digitalisation projects into the operational process.
- Develop the CMMS and contribute to the transition towards Maintenance 5.0.
- Analyse installation performance via 4.0 platforms and propose optimisation actions.
- Conduct reliability and maintenance flexibilisation studies to strengthen operational performance.
- Develop standardised maintenance plans and tools that encourage knowledge capitalisation and sharing.
- Design training modules for the on-call service and participate in the engineer on-call duty.
Your skills:
- ETH or University of Applied Sciences engineer in mechanical engineering.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interest in data, statistical analyses, and risk assessment methods.
- Marked sensitivity to digital innovation and new technologies, with good programming skills.
- Autonomy and proactivity, with strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
- Ability to manage technical challenges in a matrix organisation, coordinating various stakeholders.
- Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of the other language.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: listening, collaboration, ability to persuade and work with diverse teams.
