Role:

Complex attacks can only be stopped with well-thought-out architectures and sharp detection. As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you design exactly these lines of defence for managed security services and demanding customer environments. You combine deep technical know-how with a view of the big picture. Your expertise is in demand whenever it comes to critical incidents, new technologies, or tricky customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• You design Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) architectures, integrate log sources, and develop correlation rules as well as detection use cases for early attack detection

• For network, endpoint, identity, and cloud, you develop holistic protection concepts including MFA, Zero Trust, and modern firewall and WAF solutions

• Furthermore, you drive the technical development of NDR, XDR, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms forward

• Analysis, containment, and remediation of complex security incidents are your responsibility, and in critical cases, you provide technical direction

• You develop hardening standards, manage remediation strategies, and automate recurring processes with Python, Bash, and APIs

• Additionally, you assess customer environments in assessments, evaluate new technologies, and support pre-sales with well-founded solution architectures

Qualifications:

• You have at least five years of experience in cyber security engineering, security architecture, or security operations

• Tracing attack chains across various systems and data sources comes easily to you

• Moreover, you master Windows and Linux security as well as network protocols such as HTTP/S, DNS, and TCP/IP including their vulnerabilities

• You confidently and practically apply vulnerability scanning, log management, and detection engineering

• You enjoy automating, derive effective measures from common attack techniques, and ideally know MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS benchmarks

• Furthermore, you communicate precisely and convincingly in both German and English, think holistically, and keep a cool head even under pressure
