About the job
At the University Psychiatric Centre Bern, we care for 18 people with complex psychiatric disorders and acute stress crises on the Wernicke ward. Our team specialises in the treatment of psychiatric movement disorders such as catatonia and treatment-resistant depression and has extensive expertise in both somatic and psychiatric nursing. Thanks to our proximity to somatic medicine, we offer our patients comprehensive and holistic care.
As a night watch, you take on a responsible role and ensure professional and safe care for our patients during the night. With your calm, attentive and empathetic manner, you create a trusting atmosphere and recognise changes in the mental and somatic condition at an early stage. Your tasks
- You provide individual, professional care during the night and accompany our patients through complex recovery processes
- In acute crisis situations, you act confidently and empathetically – your calmness and expertise make the difference
- You take responsibility for the nursing process during the night and contribute significantly to continuity in therapy
- You bring your ideas and expertise into the further development of our nursing concepts – your voice counts!
- In the interdisciplinary team, you work closely with professionals from various disciplines to achieve the best possible outcome for our patients
Your profile
- You have a diploma as a nursing specialist HF / FH and ideally have professional experience in the somatic and/or psychiatric care of patients or wish to further your education in this area
- Your empathy and high level of expertise make you a valuable support for our patients and their relatives
- You remain calm and composed even in challenging situations, show initiative and take responsibility
- You appreciate teamwork and actively contribute your ideas – shared successes motivate you
- A careful, independent way of working is natural for you, and you enjoy mastering everyday life with a healthy dose of humour
