FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digital transformation in the healthcare sector and its main missions are to plan, design, implement and operate the IT system of its members. FHVi is looking for a Microsoft Systems Administrator to strengthen its Systems team and contribute daily to the maintenance and evolution of its Microsoft ecosystem, in close collaboration with the lead systems engineers (level 3).
Your mission
As a Microsoft Systems Administrator, you will work on operations and support for FHVi’s Microsoft ecosystem, assisting the lead engineers. You will contribute to the administration, maintenance and security of Windows Server platforms, Active Directory and associated services.
Within the Systems team, you will participate in the standardisation and automation of environments, applying best practices defined by the team and ensuring the quality of your daily interventions.
Your responsibilities
Microsoft expertise & platform evolution
- Provide support and routine administration of FHVi’s Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange, PKI.
- Operate and maintain directory services (AD DS, GPO, forests and domains), messaging (Exchange on-premise and hybrid), RDS farms and internal PKI (ADCS), under the supervision of lead engineers.
- Participate in the standardisation and automation of system environments (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, OpCon), applying best practices defined by the team.
Operations, security & service continuity
- Ensure monitoring of stability, availability and supervision of Microsoft infrastructures in production, and provide level 2 support respecting defined service levels, escalating to level 3 for complex cases.
- Participate in the lifecycle management of Microsoft components: applying updates, tracking version upgrades, decommissioning obsolete systems.
- Contribute to infrastructure security: applying hardening measures, managing identities and access, monitoring Microsoft security solutions (Defender), deploying patches and tracking vulnerabilities.
- Participate in continuity and disaster recovery plans (BCP / DRP) and on-call service according to current arrangements.
- Document procedures, configurations and best practices to ensure knowledge sustainability within the team.
Projects & continuous improvement
- Participate in transformation and modernisation projects of infrastructures, supporting lead engineers.
- Conduct technological watch and propose improvement avenues responding to business needs.
Profile sought
Education & experience
- Education in IT (CFC, federal diploma, Bachelor or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in systems administration, specialising in Microsoft, ideally in a complex multi-site environment.
Technical skills
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, PKI, WSUS, RDS farms.
- Basic knowledge of VMware virtualisation (vSphere/ESXi, vCenter).
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Linux environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of backup solutions and restoration procedures (Veeam Backup & Replication).
- Awareness of complex architectures (high availability, security by design, SSO) is an asset.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (notably Zabbix).
- Knowledge of ITIL v4 processes (incident, problem and change management) and experience with ITSM tools.
- Holding professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, ITIL, etc.) is an advantage.
Personal qualities
- Ability to analyse incidents and routine requests, propose appropriate solutions and resolve problems autonomously, while knowing when to seek support from lead engineers for complex cases.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to develop skills, with a desire to actively contribute to team objectives.
- Rigor, sense of responsibility and good writing skills, especially for technical documentation.
- Good communication skills, service orientation and a taste for teamwork.
Languages
- French: fluent spoken and written.
