About the job
The Hospitals of Schaffhausen include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for about 11,000 inpatient and 90,000 outpatient patients. In addition, we are an important training centre in the canton.
For our patient admission, we are looking for a clerk patient admission immediately or by arrangement, employment level 90%
The patient admission is a friendly, open and humorous team and often the first point of contact for outpatient and inpatient patients. Our goal is to enable them a smooth hospital admission. So that the stay is as pleasant as possible from the start, our specialist staff is always available for advice.
Clerk Patient Admission
- Recording and checking of administrative patient data
- Clarification of cost coverage for hospital treatments
- Responsibility and collaboration at the cash desk for deposits and withdrawals as well as monitoring of deposit payments
- Application of social insurance principles (KVG, UVG etc.)
- Admission management for inpatient and outpatient treatments
- Reception of outpatient and inpatient patients at the counter
- Optimisation of processes and continuous updating of documentation
- Support and training of apprentices in the commercial sector
- A completed commercial or medical basic training as well as several years of experience in patient administration or in the Swiss health insurance system
- Team-oriented, resilient personality with assertiveness
- Pleasant interaction with patients and visitors
- Efficient, independent working style even in hectic and challenging situations
- Enjoyment of working in an environment that is constantly and rapidly changing
- Strong organisational talent and target group-specific communication
- Good IT user skills
- Foreign language skills are an advantage
