International Liability Insurance Specialist FR / ENG

For one of our clients, we are looking for an International Liability Insurance Specialist FR / ENG on a permanent contract between 80% and 100%, based in Lausanne or Geneva. The collaborator will act as an expert on international corporate liability insurance.

Our client is a very reputable company active in insurance and pension brokerage throughout Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Integration within the company;
• Client portfolio management: Independently manage a portfolio of national and international clients (outgoing and incoming programmes);
• Risk analysis and advice: Identify exposures to liability and asset risks, assess coverage needs and provide strategic recommendations;
• Negotiation and tendering: Conduct negotiations with insurance companies for annual renewals, endorsements or tendering processes;
• Design of international programmes: Design, coordinate and implement local insurance solutions (in Switzerland) integrated with international insurance programmes;
• Claims management: Provide technical support and active assistance to clients during the occurrence and settlement of liability claims;
• Cross-functional coordination: Work closely with account management teams, Risk Practice Leaders and international network correspondents;
• Client and management reporting;
• Training of new employees;
• Participation in daily office life.

Candidate Profile

• Basic commercial training (ideally in insurance or brokerage), preferably complemented by a federal diploma in private insurance (AFA) or a recognised sector certification/training;
• Several years of professional experience advising corporate clients, either with a direct insurer (primary insurer) or with an insurance broker in Switzerland;
• In-depth knowledge of liability insurance (corporate liability / product liability / professional liability) and familiarity with the mechanics of international insurance programmes;
• Good command of MS Office suite and insurance software;
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
• Good command of English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of another language is an asset;
• Entrepreneurial spirit, strong client orientation and service mindset;
• Excellent communication skills and ease in a multicultural environment;
• Analytical mind, rigour and networked thinking;
• Discretion and sense of confidentiality.
