As an IT Test Manager focusing on operational readiness, you ensure that new applications and system solutions meet the requirements of productive operation. You define test scopes, coordinate the involved teams, and assess based on reliable evidence whether systems are ready for operational handover.
In this role, you combine technical understanding with systematic test management and a strong eye for quality and risks. You document findings, create meaningful reports, and support the involved teams in analysing weaknesses and implementing sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Definition and coordination of operational test activities for new products and IT solutions
Planning and support of tests in coordination with the responsible specialist, development, and operations teams
Assessment of operational readiness based on test results, evidence, and defined quality criteria
Documentation of findings and risks as well as tracking identified errors until resolution
Creation and presentation of test reports, final documentation, and decision-making bases
Close collaboration with architecture, infrastructure, as well as operations and support organisations to prepare successful go-lives
Qualifications:
University degree in computer science or a comparable higher education at FH or university level
At least three years of practical experience in operational readiness testing or operational test procedures
ISTQB Foundation Level certification desired
Good technical knowledge of complex IT systems and their operational requirements
Experience with monitoring and operational tools such as Splunk, Grafana, OpenShift, or similar platforms
Experience in test management, defect analysis, risk assessment, and technical documentation is an advantage
Analytical and structured approach with high quality awareness and confident communication
Very good German skills in spoken and written form at least at level C1
