Role:

Attackers always look for the weakest point, and that is exactly where your work begins. As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you develop technical security solutions for managed security services and demanding customer environments. You combine detection, response, and architecture into a coherent whole. Your word carries technical weight, and your concepts set standards for the entire service quality.

Responsibilities:

• You design detection and monitoring concepts and integrate log sources, alerting, and correlation rules into a well-thought-out SIEM architecture

• You design security architectures holistically across network, endpoint, identity, cloud, and applications, including firewall and WAF solutions

• You further develop endpoint detection and response (EDR) as well as XDR and NDR platforms technically and evaluate new technologies in proof of concepts

• Additionally, you provide technical leadership during critical incidents, from analysis to follow-up

• You automate analysis and detection processes with Python, Bash, and APIs and develop hardening standards for systems and components

• Furthermore, you assess customer environments in technical assessments and support sales with customised solution architectures

Qualifications:

• You have at least five years of experience in security engineering, security architecture, or security operations centre

• You are proficient with firewalls, web application firewalls, and modern EDR, XDR, and NDR technologies and integrate them confidently

• You reconstruct attack chains from various data sources and derive concrete protective measures

• Moreover, you bring deep knowledge in vulnerability management, identity security, least privilege, and zero trust

• You are familiar with Windows and Linux security, network protocols, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks, or NIST

• You communicate clearly and convincingly in German, navigate English technical discussions effortlessly, and keep a cool head under pressure
