From virtual infrastructure to automated software rollout.
Do you want to actively shape modern IT workplaces and powerful system platforms? Do you understand how virtualisation, software distribution and intelligent automation interact? In this position, you develop scalable technical solutions, simplify complex deployment processes and ensure standardised, reliable IT services.
Responsibilities:
Support and further development of modern system and virtualisation platforms
Optimisation of server resources, virtual machines and standardised system configurations
Creation, maintenance and quality assurance of professional software packages for various client and server environments
Planning and implementation of automated software rollouts, updates and operating system deployments
Development of PowerShell scripts to simplify technical processes and reduce manual interventions
Further development of software distribution and endpoint management processes
Integration of new applications into existing IT environments considering dependencies and security requirements
Analysis of deployment errors, installation issues and performance bottlenecks
Standardisation of system images, configurations and software deployment processes
Participation in the modernisation of client platforms and automation of IT operations
Collaboration with infrastructure, workplace and security teams on technical developments
Qualifications:
Solid professional experience in system engineering, workplace engineering or IT system administration
Good to very good knowledge of PowerShell and Windows-based system environments
Practical experience with virtualisation solutions, especially VMware or Hyper-V
Experience in creating and maintaining software packages as well as automated software distribution
Knowledge of deployment technologies such as Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune or comparable solutions
Understanding of Windows installation mechanisms, software dependencies and silent installations
Experience with patch management, system updates and standardised configuration processes
Basic knowledge of network and security concepts for stable operation of distributed systems
Ideally experience with Git, CI/CD principles or automated testing procedures
Solution-oriented thinking, technical understanding and enthusiasm for optimising complex processes
